What we do with your info.

This policy explains what personal information Fore Irons ("we", "us") collects when you visit foreironusa.com or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to make, ship and market our products.
1. What we collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, shipping and billing address, the text you want on your plate (which may include other people's names), messages you send us, and photos you send if there's a problem with an order.
Payment information: Stripe processes payments for us. Stripe collects your card details directly. We receive only limited information, such as the last four digits, card type and whether the payment went through. We never store your full card number.
Information collected automatically: when you browse the site, we and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools to collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, the site that sent you here and general location based on IP address. This includes the Meta Pixel and analytics tools such as PostHog.
2. How we use it
- To make, engrave, ship and support your order, including sending your plate proof and updates.
- To answer your questions and handle problems.
- To run, secure and improve the site and prevent fraud.
- To measure our ads and show ads to people who might like a Fore Iron, including people who visited our site.
- To send marketing emails if you've agreed. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it only with companies that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Payment processing: Stripe.
- Shipping carriers, who get your name and shipping address.
- Website hosting and security: Cloudflare.
- Advertising and analytics: Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and PostHog.
- Email services we use to talk to you.
- The artists and partners who make and engrave your piece, who get your plate text.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.
Some state laws treat sharing browsing data with advertising partners, such as through the Meta Pixel, as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out at any time (see section 5).
4. Cookies and ads
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like checkout, may not work without them. You can control how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and learn more about interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing where the law requires it.
5. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted ads. To make a request, email us at the address below. We'll verify it's you, respond within the time the law requires, and won't treat you differently for using these rights. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you.
6. How long we keep it
We keep order information for as long as we need it to fill and support your order and to meet tax and legal requirements, usually up to seven years. We keep other information only as long as it's useful for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are handled by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The site is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
9. Where we operate
We're based in the United States and only ship within it. Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the change is significant, we'll let customers know by email.
